This workshop will provide teachers with methods and techniques for incorporating the visual arts across the curriculum: Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Artworks from the Rutgers-Camden Collection of Art will be used.
Research has clearly revealed the powerful, positive impact that a strong arts curriculum has on learning in other academic subjects, attitudes, and behaviors among pre-school, general K-12, and at-risk students. Furthermore, the act of artistic creation has been determined to be critical to students’ undiminished biological, emotional, and cognitive development.
